Pyralis Mercier

The proud founder and proprietor of Mercier Jewelry, Pyralis Mercier was born and raised in Ishgard. After spending his early life in the Maelstrom and fighting in the Dragonsong War, he found himself being able to indulge more time in fashion, which was something he was long passionate about. This soon led him peaking interest in jewelry and trained hard with the Goldsmith Guild in Ul'Dah to become a goldsmith himself. Though there are unsavory rumors regarding his personality, his works are certainly known to make up for it. One way to confirm a jewelry was crafted by Pyralis is by locating the unique engraving of his family name, "Mercier" on the said jewelry in a cursive writing.Pyralis is still active in the Maelstrom as a commander, but he has been running his business in Mercier Jewelry for few summers now. Materias can also be melded into any of the accessories if needed at an additional cost as well. You can either bring your own materias or request them at another additional cost. Please see the owner if you require any specific materias to be melded to your jewelries.*Materia melding services are also available for accessories purchased outside of the shop.

All accessories at Mercier Jewelry are handcrafted in high attention to detail with the finest quality of materials gathered personally by the owner himself.While majority of the sets are part of a collection, such as the Mercier Collection, the shop still has plenty of jewelries available made for purchase. No matter the style you are into, you will definitely find something to your liking at Mercier Jewelry.

The Mercier Collection

The Mercier Collection are sets of jewelries consisting a necklace, a pair of earrings, and some times a ring, bracelet, and/or another type of jewelry. All sets in this collection are personal inspiration by the owner and each sets are one of a kind. Therefore, absolutely no replicas will be made for any jewelries in the Mercier Collection.Some of the sets from the Mercier Collection are put out in auctions, so perhaps you may have seen or even own a set from one of them!

Blood of the StormA set inspired by the color scheme of the sunset in Gyr Abania, made with a mix of Gyr Abanian ore and gold ore, and sunstones for the gems.Included:

Commissions

If you are looking for something much more unique, you can request a special order. You can either bring in a design of your own or describe what you are looking for. The Mercier Jewelry can fulfill accessories beyond necklaces, rings, earrings, and bracelets (i.e. circlets, crowns, anklets, harness, jewelry box, and more).You can also request the owner to acquire specific gems and/or materials from mining as well. Simply list the items you need and a quote can be provided.*In case you are to bring in your own design, please do note that the owner has every right to deny your request.

*OOC Note: Pyralis is very picky with the designs others bring to him. If he does not like it, he may not take the commission and refer you to go to the Goldsmith Guild or someone else instead - hence the "unsavory rumors regarding his personality."

Anonymous Customer #1I was in dire need of the perfect necklace to go with the dress for my Ceremony of Eternal Bonding quite last minute. I went to the Goldsmith Guild and they told me the only goldsmith they knew who would be available was good Mister Mercier! When I showed him the dress, he briefly looked at it and it took him only two suns to have the necklace finished!I am always grateful for Mister Mercier, helping me look the most beautiful I have ever been in my entire life. I must also say that I can confirm Mister Mercier really pays careful attention to every single jewelry he crafts as I proudly own multiple of his jewelries!

Anonymous Customer #2I had forgotten it was my partner's nameday, so I was in a hurry trying to find a gift at the Sapphire Avenue Exchange. But I suppose it was quite literally everyone else's nameday that day that the merchant selling jewelries had little to nothing available. When I asked him if there was another shop nearby, he laughed at me as he recommended me to go to some person by the name of "Mercier." At first, I wasn't sure why he had to laugh until I arrived at Mercier Jewelry - the guy wasn't... rude per se, but he kind of gave me the impression that I wasn't all that welcomed in his shop. Or maybe he was just having a bad day? He still helped me find what my partner would like, so that was nice of him, I suppose... I can definitely say he's a great craftsman, though.

Anonymous Customer #3Where do I even start? I've heard so many great things about this man's works, so I had drafted a sketch of a ring I had in mind. Sure, it wasn't the most impressive design, but it wasn't the most atrocious one either. So, I brought it to Mercier Jewelry and the owner looked at it for only one second before he turned his back on me, telling me to go somewhere else! I asked him if there was a problem and he responded with, and I quote, "Yes, your design. That is the problem here."This guy may be a skilled goldsmith, but he must be thinking he's the best! I mean, talk about attitude! He didn't even have an apologetic look when he told me to go somewhere else! It doesn't even matter if he is the best or not - that is no way to treat a customer!So, in summary... If you're going to commission this guy with your own design, make sure it's to his liking. What an absolute jerk!
